Terms of Service

Welcome to ExtraExtra! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ExtraExtra mobile and web applications (the "App") and related services. By creating an account or using ExtraExtra, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ExtraExtra. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account (name, email).
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Use of the App

You agree to use ExtraExtra only for lawful purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or overload our systems.
  • Misuse the app to create, distribute, or share harmful or illegal content.
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others, including publishers and content providers.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

  • Payments are processed securely through Apple, Google, or third-party payment providers.
  • We do not store your payment details.
  • All purchases are subject to the terms of the respective payment platform (e.g., App Store or Google Play).

5. Content and Intellectual Property

Publisher Content: ExtraExtra enables access to news content from third-party publishers. You are responsible for maintaining any required subscriptions to those publishers.

Generated Content: ExtraExtra uses AI to generate podcast-style audio. You may use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Our IP: All branding, logos, designs, and original code in ExtraExtra belong to us. You may not copy, distribute, or modify them without permission.

6. Service Availability

We aim to provide uninterrupted access but do not guarantee the App will always be available, error-free, or secure. Features may change over time.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

ExtraExtra is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of content.
  • The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.
  • Suitability of the App for your personal use.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, ExtraExtra and its team are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Loss of data, revenue, or profits.
  • Issues caused by third-party services (e.g., publishers, payment providers, Supabase, Google TTS).

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to ExtraExtra at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of California.

11. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Continued use of ExtraExtra after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
